Alaska Building and Remodeling, Inc. is the family owned business of Cyrus and Jacinda Elterman. Both were born and raised in Alaska and are now raising two kids of their own in the land that they love. High school sweethearts, they've been running the family business together since 2001.

Growing up in a family that was always outgrowing its home, Cyrus' building interests were deeply ingrained at an early age. He'd built himself a workbench by age 9 and was wiring his dad's garage in the 8th grade. He's a hunter and outdoorsman who enjoys using his toys almost as much as rebuilding them. He's never met a machine that couldn't be improved. Jacinda not only brings design skills and elbow grease to the company, but also management experience. She'd managed several local Fairbanks businesses before starting this family endeavor with her husband. Jacinda now keeps the books in order for Alaska Building and Remodeling while caring for Laiken and Casey, the next generation of Eltermans.

Cyrus and Jacinda enjoy taking on the technical and creative challenges that go along with creating the perfect room for you. Projects such as staircases, arches, mantles, showers, and built-in shelving display the intricate detail and quality hand-crafting they take pride in. It's the goal of Alaska Building and Remodeling to make every room your favorite room. They are a fully licensed and bonded company with the experience needed for building to Alaska's unique conditions.
